Agenda: take a minute blog / corrections NaNoWriMo Day 14 week 14: Quiz Writers Workshop Homework: NaNoWriMo 50% by Saturday. 5000-10000      Good morning. As you are well aware, I am Jaden. The class entered the class room quite loudly. After the class quieted down, the take a minute video was played. Once the take a minute video was finished playing, Hudson read his blog to the class. When he was done, he chose me to do today's blog. As a class, we went over this week's lines, "Pep Talk" by Jason Reynolds, for this week's grammar, quote, question, song, and lines. When that was finished, Ms. Nakada kindly gave us 10 minutes to work on our novels. During this time, I was able to catch up on the work from class, and write about it in the blog. This kept me from working on my novel, leaving me at 10054 words. When the 10 minutes were done, Ms. Nakada proceeded to call on everyone's names to ask what percentage everyone is at. I was 50.27% done with my novel. V...

Agenda Take a Minute Blog Corrections NaNoWriMo Day 13 Week 14 Song - Pep Talk Writer's Workshop HW: NaNoWriMo 50% by Saturday 5000 - 10000 Hello, it is me, Hudson. Today we walked into class and sat down in our seats to write down our agenda in our binder reminders. Then, we had some surprise guests, including our former teacher. There were also some other kids from the other classes. He talked about the "Reading Decathlon" and how it is wrongly named, because there are 15 books that you read in the school year, not ten. After he explained what is was and how to sign up, he showed us a video that we could 100% do better than. After that, we spent ten minutes on our novels. Then, we listened to our song of the week, " Livin On a Prayer " by Bon Jovi. Ms. Nakada seemed to really like it, but most of the class wasn't very enthusiastic. After that, we read half of Jason Reynolds' pep talk, but then the bell rang and class ended.

Today we started off class by listening to Tesa read  her blog to the class. She sat down, and selected me to be the next blogger, which is why you are hearing me today. Someone took the blogging Chromebook, so Ms. Nakada logged into her account on my Chromebook. This means I was not able to do any NaNoWriMo in class, so I spent the time reading the posters on the wall around the classroom. After the NaNoWriMo writing session, we recorded the percentage of our novel that we had written. When Ms. Nakada called on me, I told her that I had completed 41% of my novel so far. After that, we pulled out our English notebooks and answered the question: what are you/your characters most grateful for? Ms. Nakada went around the room and asked people what their answer was. We then read the lines we missed from last week...

Agenda: Take a minute Blog corrections NaNoWriMo Day 4 Week 13: question T.O. essay body paragraphs HW: NaNoWriMo 13% Hello, It's me, Mikey. The day started how it always did; everyone sitting down and writing the agenda. Talia read her blog, then made me, Vance, and Madison play rock, paper, scissors to decide who writes the blog. After two very intense rounds, (the first of which Madison did not want to play) I was chosen to write the blog. We then worked on our NaNoWriMo novels, which I thought I was perfectly on track for before I saw that Talia and William had already gotten halfway through their books. Next, Ms. Nakada showed us how to back up our novels, and that was also the week's question. We proceeded to work on our essays, which I am now behind on because all my essay writing time is being spent on this blog. Then, the bell rang and we all slowly left class.   Also, I will be choosing Vance and Madison play rock, paper, scissors to decide the blog writer.

After we corrected it I was chosen to write the blog (Thank you, Sigi). We had around 10 minutes to continue our novels for National Writing Month. After that, we were asked to take out our English notebooks, and we worked on our Grammar and Quote for the week. We learned about different points of view in stories and how to use sensory details. Our quote this week was "Have no fear of perfection. You will never reach it" by Salvador Dali. I thought it was a pretty cool quote, and it definitely related to National Writing Month. We took the las...
