Agenda take a minute blog/corrections reader's/writer's workshop BR/Summary Week 10: Quiz HW : Read toward your IRP goal.   Hello its me Ruby. Today is March 20th, finally Friday. The class walked in, and we all took out seats writing the agenda down in our binder reminders. Helena and Daniella read their blog, to which we got a point, (Good job guys) and then much to my dismay, chose me to be the next blogger. I got seated at the blog table, and everyone took the quiz. Ms. Nakada walked around checking binder reminders, and the rest of the time in the period was allotted to silent reading, and finishing summaries. Today was a very relaxed day and nothing much happened after that. Goodbye. I'm also bringing back the wedding photos. this is Gerard Way, (lead singer of My Chemical Romance) and his wife, Lindsey Way, (Bassist of Mindless Self Indulgence) signing their marriage certificate on September 3, 2007.

Agenda take a minute blog/corrections week 10: song/lines book project gallery walk HW: Read toward your IRP goal. Hi, it's Helena and Daniella. Today, as we walked into class, we started writing the agenda in our binder reminders, while we watched the take a minute. Then, Alex read yesterday's blog since Henry wasn't here. They didn't finish their blog, so we finished it for them during corrections. After that, Ms. Nakada started talking about the risks of uploading a person's photo on the internet without their permission. When we finished that discussion, we finished talking about the song from yesterday, since we didn't finish that either. After that, Ms. Nakada played our lines, which are a TED Talk called "Let's Revive the Golden Rule" by Karen Armstrong. Then, Ms. Nakada told us to write the positive and negative versions of stating what the Golden Rule says, how to implement the Golden Rule, and what is the risk if we don't follow the G...

Agenda: take a minute blog corrections dual enrollment presentation week 10: song When our English class settled down, everyone took out their binder reminders to write down the agenda. After that, Ms. Nakada played the take a minute video. Then, Mr. Tunde welcomed a lady from SMC (Santa Monica College) who showed us a well made presentation about why everyone should do dual enrollment and go to SMC. After, the lady from SMC left and Liam read his blog. Then, we listened to the song, "Hair Down, Stand Up" by KCT. We didn't have time to discuss it fully.

Agenda Take a min Blog/Corrections Week 10: Grammar Quote Question [HW] Read towards your IRP goal LAST BOOK PROJECT Due 3/19 Hey, it's me, Liam. The class settled down as the bell rang. Some kids sadly came after the bell, (ehm Goldie and Maddie!!!!). As we got ready for the second day of the week, I took out my binder reminder and wrote down the agenda. Then, Ms. Nakada played the take a minute. This week's take a minute was about flowers blooming. After that, I took out my English book as the next blogger got up to read their blog for us to correct. Once she was done reading her blog, we talked about the sub from yesterday while writing down the notes in our English note books. (OG had hella bars not gonna lie) I quickly finished up my notes while the class talked about the Golden Rule. Honestly, I kinda use the GOLDEN RULE since I am Christian. It talks about loving your enemy, so it seemed simple for me to follow. (It wasn't, and NO I'm not gonna continue the mar...

Everyone walked into class, settled down to watch the take a minute video, and write down the agenda. Next, we read Nell's amazing blog, who, as you can see, picked me. After that, we read this week's lines which are "It's Not Your Job" by Caitlyn Siehl. We talked about how beauty comes in many forms and Molly, Kingston, and others shared their thoughts. Finally, the class settled down for reader's workshop, where I took the time to write this blog. That was the end of another day in English class period three.

Agenda take a minute blog/corrections week 9: Question reader's workshop HW : Read toward IRP goal. Last book project due 3/9 Hi, it's Nell. As we walked into class not that chattily, in my opinion, everybody took their seat and took out their binder reminders to write down the agenda. While writing the agenda down, Ms. Nakada started playing the daily take a minute, which was a new one. After that, Layla and Tesa read their flawless blog, and sadly picked me. I walked up to the blogging desk not very enthusiastic about writing the blog. Then, we wrote down the question for the week. Is it easier/ better to lift up or punch down? Everybody shared their answers, and Molly decided to call out Lev's brother, which I did not understand, since Lev's brother is pretty nice. Then, we transitioned into reader's workshop, and when the bell rang, we packed up and waited for Ms. Nakada to dismiss us. That was the end of period three. Tom Welling's wedding:

3-9-26 Agenda: - take a minute - blog/corrections - Week #9: Grammar/Quote - Reader's Workshop HW: Read toward your IRP goal and last book project due 3/19! Hi kids! Today, we started class with our take a minute and wrote down our agenda. Sigi and Talia read their beautiful blog aloud to the class before choosing Tesa and me to do the blog for today. We were very excited. As we sat down at the blogging desk, Ms. Nakada started going over our grammar for week #9. The class discussed how social media and AI spread misinformation and end up tricking people. Then, we wrote down our quote by Mother Jones. We talked about how there's strength in solidarity when we work together. Next, the class got into quiet reading, and everyone was surprisingly quiet. The bell rang, and everyone left to fourth period. John Pork's wedding: (Air ball)

Agenda: - Take a Minute - Blog Corrections - Week 8: Lines and Quiz - Reader's Workshop Homework: - Read towards your IRP goal - Last Book Project due 3/19 Hi! It's Sigi and Talia, here for our fourth blog. We came into class and wrote down our agendas. I realized that Talia still had her Algebra 1 math book, so I took it out of her bag to remind us to return it to Mrs. Dillmore.   Maya and Maddie read their blog, which was flawless, so we received a point.  Next, we went over our lines for the week which were called "wishes for sons." This poem was about the difficulties of being a woman and how men never have to go through the same experiences that women do. Ethan then shared that he would be in discomfort without a slushy from 7-11. Next, we completed our weekly quiz, which contained a question from our "take a minute," which is new. We quickly transitioned from quiz-taking into reading. I am currently reading The Phantom of the Opera. Then, Ms. Nakada d...

This is our fourth blog entry, albeit it's our first together.  Today, we walked into class, chatty as usual. Our classmates filed into their seats while Ms. Nakada told us to take out binder reminders. The take-a-minute started playing while the class settled down. We both wrote down our missing agendas for science class. Talia asked both of us if we did tricks while we skied because that was what this week's take-a-minu...

AGENDA take a minute blog-corrections week 8: question lit. circle essays It was another Wednesday at Emerson. After nutrition, I made a quick stop at the restroom and then made my way back to class for third period.  We watched / listened to the take-a-minute which took me onto the slopes of Mt. Bachelor, skiing my way downhill.  After that, Molly and Hartley read their blog, a lovely, pink account of our work in class on Monday. It was also a little punny.  To my surprise, they chose me as the next blogger, so here I am. Is it that you think I will earn you a point? Is that why I am here?  Regardless, class moved along, and we discussed the idea of gender equity in our schools. The conversation was mostly thoughtful and relatively gender balanced.  Once we wrapped up answering the question about gender equity in schools, I reviewed the checklist for essays and how to format papers with heading and title alignment, double-spacing, and standard font choices. The...

AGENDA Take a minute Blog/Corrections Week 8: Grammar/ Quote Lit. Circle Essays HOMEWORK Essays due 3/4 Read toward IRP Goal! Hi! It's Molly, and my Rae of sunshine, Hartley. Don't call me that.  Today, we all sat down before the bell rang. It is because we are studious. After we quieted down, we watched the take a minute.  Then, we looked at Goldie and William's beautiful, and questionable, blog. However, William was quite condescending towards Hudson's blog , stating that it was a "disappointment" that we hadn't gotten a point. Let's work on kindness. Once we completed corrections, we did the grammar for the week. Which, was about text citations . Next, we looked at the quote, which was, "No one is your friend who demands your silence or denies your right to grow" by Alice Walker . The quote of the week was quite interesting and controversial. To say the least, we were SHOOK by the extreme debate that took place. Just kitten. When we conc...
