Hii, it's Maddie and Maya. This is our fourth blog entry, albeit it's our first together. 

Today, we walked into class, chatty as usual. Our classmates filed into their seats while Ms. Nakada told us to take out binder reminders. The take-a-minute started playing while the class settled down. We both wrote down our missing agendas for science class. Talia asked both of us if we did tricks while we skied because that was what this week's take-a-minute was showing.

We transitioned into Ms. Nakada's blog, which she read with emotion. She showed us the wedding photo that she had included, before making remarks towards Molly and Hartley's blog. I had already asked her if Maddie and I could do the blog and she agreed, so we walked up and took a seat at the blogging desk.

After that, Ms. Nakada started playing this week's song, "The Man" by Taylor Swift. Though Taylor Swift gets a lot of hate, Ms. Nakada told us how she didn't want to hate on her, but rather support a female artist. This week's song was about how if Taylor Swift was a man, her achievements would be perceived differently and in a more positive manner. We talked about the tone of this song, which we thought was upbeat and slightly sarcastic. Everyone picked their favorite lyric then transitioned into reader's workshop. We didn't get to read during reader's workshop because we worked on the blog. 

Eventually, the bell rang. And that was the end of another third period English class.

We didn't enjoy this.

Ruby went up and presented her blog, and then chose me to write the blog. After that, I went up to the desk and started writing.   Agenda: - take a minute - blog/corrections - week 3: question - readers workshop Homework: Finish books this week! Hello, it's me, Hriday! Today we all walked into class, talkative as usual, and settled down into our seats. We all copied the agenda down into our binder reminders (I was a little late to do so), and Ms. Nakada started our daily take-a-minute video. I did not take a minute, as I was scrambling to fill in the binder reminder entries I had missed while I was absent. Once the take-a-minute video was over, Jaden came up to read his blog, and Ms. Nakada corrected a few mistakes. Next, Jaden had to decide who he wanted to choose to be the next blogger, so he asked if anyone wanted to go. Nobody raised their hand (as usual). Since nobody raised their hand, Jaden wanted to do a large game of rock-paper-scissors with the people who had not done the blog yet. Shortly after entering Ms. Nakada's classroom and doing our daily "take a minute," Layla read her blog, which was very well written. Ms. Nakada read one of her former students' letters to us, and she  had very good advice that should be taken into consideration. Our class reached ten points, yet again, and we decided on getting pizza for our reward. The song of the week is called "Non Je Ne Regrete Rien" by Edith Piaf, which is about living now, and not getting stuck on your past experiences, so you can enjoy life to the best of your ability.
