Blog:
Hello, this is Hunter and Hriday! Today's English period started off with some loud chit-chat, and Ms. Nakada seating a few people who weren't here yesterday. Our first thing we did after this was our take a minute video. After we were through with the take a minute, Jaden and Vance came up in front of the class to read their blog. Their blog was quite exceptional and "enchanting." Next, Jaden and Vance had the (not so) difficult task of choosing someone for the blog. Without hesitation, they chose me, Hriday (they justified it as revenge). I asked Hunter if he wanted to do it with me, and he accepted, so we both are writing the blog today. For some reason, Hriday decided to color code our parts of the blog and made mine an odd bright blue. Deal with it, Hunter. Anyway, we then read our lines for the week, titled "Missing from Presidents' Day: The People They Enslaved," which is about how the presidents enslaved people. We then discussed whether certain presidents were enslavers or abolitionists. There was some occasional discussion about the Epstein files and Trump mixed in as well. Shortly after we wrapped up our discussion, we wrote a short ACE on the article we just read. ACE's are the bane of my existence. After, Ms. Nakada asked us to answer our question for the week. This week's question was "How should we celebrate President's Day?" Some people shared, and I'd like to note how Jonny said he used an Abraham Lincoln pencil sharpener to celebrate. "That's a very sharp way to celebrate," Ms. Nakada said. Extremely corny, if you ask me. After this, we continued working on our Student-Led Conferencing letters until the bell rang, thus ending another day of our invigorating, captivating, and mind-opening English class.
Only now, after reading this do I realize what an eyesore these colors are to read...
