Homework

Read and write a poem a day.

Hello, It's me, Hudson, and today we walked into the classroom after a full day of state testing. As we quieted into a dull hum of background noise, we jotted down the agenda in our binder reminder. Then, Ms. Nakada played the take a minute, leading to complaints from unknown sources.

Now it's me, Hunter. After this, Tesa and Layla went up to read their blog, which earned us a point. Nice job. No one volunteered to write the next blog, so they told everyone who hasn't gone to raise their hand. One of those people was Hudson, who they picked. He asked me to write the blog with him, and I agreed. Thus, you are seeing us read this blog today.

After we went through the regular motions of a day, we moved into our lesson. First we read three poems, and talked about the meaning behind them. Afterwards, Ms. Nakada gave us the option to read a fourth poem or to start writing our poems. Ms. Nakada then read all of the prompts for the day, some of which were quite interesting. After writing our poems, Ms. Nakada asked if we wanted to share, and when people declined, we wrote our second poem. After writing our poems, we began to work on our broadsides. Some of us went down to write a poem on the ground with chalk. Eventually, the bell rang and class ended, releasing us on our screwed up schedule.
