Hello, it's me, Nell. As we walked into class, chatty as usual, Ms. Nakada started waiting for us to get quieter, until finally we were quiet enough for her to start the video. When Ms. Nakada finally started playing the take a minute video, she emphasized that her 6th period class got mad at her for pausing the take a minute video in the middle of the video. Thankfully for us, she waited until the video ended, and then paused it. After that, Hudson picked the next blogger, as we didn't have a blog yesterday, and Hudson was the blogger the day before. He had a hard time deciding who to pick and Molly decided it was a good idea to pick me, which I did not think was a good idea. Hudson ended up picking me and I walked up to the blogging desk. Then, Ms. Nakada gave us time to work on our happiness project papers. After everybody was done, Ms. Nakada gave us the choice to either do a redemption letter, which could give us some points on assignments that we didn't like the grade we got, or some cursive writing practice. Ms. Nakada then proceeded to put on a video on how to enhance different words. After the video finished, Ms. Nakada gave us some time to do some cursive writing on our own. After a long time, the bell finally rang, and class was over.

Agenda: Take a minute Blog corrections week 11: Lines NaPoWriMo Today, we sat down in English and wrote down the agenda while the Take a minute played. Ruby went up and presented her blog, and then chose me to write the blog. After that, I went up to the desk and started writing. We reviewed the grammar from yesterday, covering three specific comma rules. We then discussed a quote by Emily Dickinson, and talked about the feelings that poetry can invoke. Next, we talked about the question of the week, "How do you feel about poetry?" Once we finished that, we read the lines a couple times, then analyzed the lines, a poem from Howard Nemerov. Next, we were asked to write a poem in the same format as the poem we read. I wrote a poem answering questions I got when ESA went to the UCLA water polo match. Then, class was over, so we packed up and left.

  Agenda: - take a minute - blog/corrections - week 3: question - readers workshop Homework: Finish books this week! Hello, it's me, Hriday! Today we all walked into class, talkative as usual, and settled down into our seats. We all copied the agenda down into our binder reminders (I was a little late to do so), and Ms. Nakada started our daily take-a-minute video. I did not take a minute, as I was scrambling to fill in the binder reminder entries I had missed while I was absent. Once the take-a-minute video was over, Jaden came up to read his blog, and Ms. Nakada corrected a few mistakes. Next, Jaden had to decide who he wanted to choose to be the next blogger, so he asked if anyone wanted to go. Nobody raised their hand (as usual). Since nobody raised their hand, Jaden wanted to do a large game of rock-paper-scissors with the people who had not done the blog yet.  Agenda: - Take a Minute - Blog/Corrections - Week 5: Song - School Trip /Reader's Workshop Homework : Read 100 pages of a book of your choice by Monday 9/15 Hi, it's Sigi. Shortly after entering Ms. Nakada's classroom and doing our daily "take a minute," Layla read her blog, which was very well written. Ms. Nakada read one of her former students' letters to us, and she  had very good advice that should be taken into consideration. Our class reached ten points, yet again, and we decided on getting pizza for our reward. The song of the week is called "Non Je Ne Regrete Rien" by Edith Piaf, which is about living now, and not getting stuck on your past experiences, so you can enjoy life to the best of your ability. Some words we used to describe the tone of this song were motivational, urgent, and robust.
