HW:Read and write a poem a day
We walked into class and settled down. As the chatter died down, we started the take a minute. After the take a minute, Kingston read his almost perfect blog. Once he was done, he selected me to do the blog and I asked Henry to do it with me. We then did the grammar where we learned about hyperbole, idiom, and onomatopoeia. Then, we read the quote of the week which said "Water does not resist. Water flows.[...] Dripping water wears away a stone.[...] Remember you are half water. If you can't go through an obstacle, go around it. Water does." Margaret Atwood. After we read the quote, we read two poems "Home" by Warsan Shire and "Bullet Points" by Jericho Brown, which was about police brutality. Afterwards, we wrote two poems to catch up for NaPoWriMo. We then discussed NaPoWriMo submissions for a quick couple of minutes, as the bell rang, ending another day of English class.
